I didn’t take my camera Saturday night since my focus was on mourning, and being there for other friends but when Zoe and I returned Sunday evening for night two of the vigil up on Capitol Hill I did take my camera. One person thanked me for being there to take pictures as a member of the scene rather than yet another “fucking” reporter. That made me smile.
That was a great night too. Lots of people exchanging stories and clustering into groups of various sizes talking and joking about how some of our friends would have acted had they been there.
We miss you all and I hope that you could see the beautiful lights flickering up in the nonstop party you’re all at.
