Here’s another “CDC” doing wonderful things in the artistic medium. I love art with a political bent and especially love work in the vein of altering signs and billboards. The CDC is a private correctional facility that protects the public through the secure management, discipline, and rehabilitation of California’s advertising.” These secretive folks, who communicate only by anonymous email and speak mainly in riddles are artists and geniuses. But their work speaks for them, and it is a series of artfully-”corrected” public billboards with biting and poignant messages.The California Department of Corrections has a nice gallery of retouched billboards showing a more honest vision of what America means today.
