I managed network infrastructure and day to day troubleshooting of a 130 machine network. Planned and implemented a move from an old facility to a brand new gigabit/fiber based location. Shortly after the move I planned and implemented a migration from a workgroup based network with 2 fileservers to an Active Directory/Open Directory mixed network with 4 Windows 2003 servers and 2 OS X Tiger servers to maximize the performance of a mixed OS environment. Position handled every facet of network and computer infrastructure management as well as printer maintenance and troubleshooting. I was also responsible for maintaining the HVAC servers as well as managing the internal digital telephony server and the security system (GE Sapphire 2 Prox card system handling timed locks and keyed entry systems)
Designed and created a SharePoint 2007 internal intranet with individual team sites for each department. At new building took company from a 768kbps DSL line to a 1.5kbps DSL line as well as a 10mbit cable connection for redundancy. I dealt with mixed legacy systems on a daily basis (Mac OS 9, Windows 95) and upgraded users wherever possible. Also responsible for the training, and management of a part time technician.
