Moopost

After writing quite a few moo.fx plugins over the last few weeks I finally sat down earlier and wrote one that was requested by someone on the wordpress forums.

After a bit of head scratching as I examined a few different themes to see the best way to do it, I discovered the happiest way that would work with the two default themes (which are usually the 2 that people base their own themes off of and also used almost moreso than any other).

This Wordpress plugin was written with the ajax like moo.fx libraries found at: moofx.mad4milk.net. In addition to that, the excellent #wordpress channel on freenode irc for any advice/suggestions I got as with the other plugins. This is also the first of the moo.fx plugins that required some judicious usage of the css hidden state which I know is a no-no for accessibility but then visually appealing plugins aren’t that accessible either. But that’s another story.

I think that once I have some spare time I’ll be integrating all of the moo.fx plugins I’ve written into one giant plugin that uses an options page to enable/disable each function as the user wants.

To see the plugin in action head over to my very sloppy test blog:

Anyways to install this plugin all you need to do is upload the moopost folder into your plugins folder and then activate the plugin.
